Your Cherry Facility with the
Best Hydro Cooling System

Looking for design-build or design-assist?

At Gateway we can provide you with design-build or design-assist. We provide commercial and industrial cooling design and construction for your facility.

Gateway performs in-depth load calculations to determine the actual amount of cooling required for your product or building. In doing this we can design or select equipment for your facility to keep it at the proper temperature.

We build custom bin drenchers and hydro coolers to meet your needs whether it’s at your main facility or a satellite location.

Part of our unique design for these bin drenchers or hydro coolers includes custom evaporator coils designed and built by Gateway Mechanical at one of our facilities and installed at yours.

We have a proprietary method of cooling the water in our hydro coolers to between 33.8 and 35 degrees Fahrenheit while maintaining that temperature without making ice throughout the entire cherry packaging life cycle.

We design and install warehouses that can operate as both a cooler or freezer. Our in house controls have the ability to provide large warehouses with the option to switch between cooler and freezer temperatures at the touch of a button.

Our control systems are specifically designed for your building and can handle any unique control or monitoring needs.

Do you require startup or shutdown support?

Here at Gateway, we pride ourselves on being highly experienced with startups and shutdowns. We understand that this is an integral part of the cherry industry and proper seasonal maintenance is critical to the longevity of your equipment and your overall success.

After scheduling the startup we put a maintenance schedule in place. This ensures your equipment runs smoothly throughout your growing season. At the end of the season, you can rely on us to do a thorough shutdown, making sure that your equipment is winterized properly for the months it’s not in use.

How can we help you prevent downtime?

We know that losing production time is disruptive and costly. That’s why every system we design and build includes custom monitoring systems for your facilities equipment that alerts us to potential problems and highlights critical issues. If an alarm is triggered such as a temperature drop at your facility, our team will be dispatched with tools and parts in hand, ready to fix the problem.

It’s built, now how do you maintain it?

No one knows your building better than the people who helped you build it. That’s why we offer customized maintenance plans to prevent downtime and make sure your equipment runs smoothly.

Downtime is not an option when it comes to optimizing crop growth. You’ve invested in your equipment so preventative maintenance programs will ensure your equipment lasts and potentially exceeds its projected lifespan.

Regardless of who installed your equipment our team of licensed HVAC/R technicians can service, repair and maintain all makes and models. Applying industry best practices, we’ll keep your systems operating safely and efficiently.

Need a time-sensitive custom design?

If a new design is what you need, our team of experts can design and build any project you have in mind.

An advantage of working with Gateway is that we have a multidisciplinary team of professional engineers, project managers, HVAC/R technicians, sheet metal workers, commercial plumbers/gas fitters, and electricians enabling us to get jobs done, even when it’s last minute.

Getting the job done safely is as important to us as it is to you.
