Community & Volunteerism
Gateway’s commitment to personal service extends beyond our clients and into our communities. We live, work and play in the communities we serve, and it’s important that we give back where we can. Our employees are responsible for supporting various charities and participating in many volunteer initiatives across western Canada. At Gateway we’re proud to be involved, invested and engaged in our communities and we strive to go above and beyond our corporate responsibilities.
Employee Events
At Gateway we believe in working hard and playing harder. To deliver on that promise our social committees are responsible for organizing many events throughout the year to celebrate our team and show our appreciation. High-five Fridays, BBQ’s, breakfasts, popcorn parties, Cinco de Mayo, movie nights, family picnics and Christmas parties are just some of the ways we come together to celebrate our extended family as one team.

Health and safety is an integral part of our corporate culture, from our CEO to our frontline workers everyone is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, subcontractors, clients and the public.
Health & Wellness
We’re committed to the health and wellbeing of all our employees and we believe everyone has the right to a healthy body and mind. Along with an excellent benefits program we provide access to our wellness centre and various onsite activities.
Education
We believe in sharing our knowledge and giving back to our trades and professions. We offer ongoing training, support and access to emerging technologies ensuring our team is always leading our industry. Our partnerships with NAIT and SAIT are well established as we provide support and leadership for their technical trades programs

Our History
In 1968, dreaming of a brighter future for their families, Bill Ohe and Alex Allen founded Gateway Refrigeration in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. 50 years later Gateway Mechanical Services is still going strong.
