Our History
It all started over 50 years ago with a vision, two partners and one truck.
In 1968, dreaming of a brighter future for their families, Bill Ohe and Alex Allen founded Gateway Refrigeration in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was their dream to legitimize the refrigeration trade and provide a personal level of service uncommon to their customers.
This entrepreneurial spirit and tenacity laid the foundation for Gateway’s success and continues to guide us to this day.
From one truck to more than 250 vehicles Gateway Mechanical Services has become a leader in the commercial and industrial air conditioning, heating and refrigeration industry.

Gateway acknowledges an exceptional milestone by celebrating its 50th year with employees across Western Canada.
